As someone who lives in the mosquito-infested South, I’m very skeptical about this. I don’t like the idea of there being MORE mosquitoes, especially after all of the effort we take to get rid of them.

They are only releasing male mosquitos. The males don’t bite and don’t drink blood. Only the females do. You might see a few more flying around but you won’t have more bites as a result.

This may or may not work but the theory is good. It will be an interesting experiment to see if it works.

...unless they're unexpectedly more likely to bite when swarming with the new ones.
