He is flagged because you are not allowed to call out the political left on supporting Islam. Even though it basically contradicts everything that is politically left.
It's a garbage religion and has no place in America.
The USA doesn't have to worry about the guillotines, we are armed to the tooth where I'm from.
A simple fact is that all 7 billion people can't live like upper middle class Americans, it's impossible. Why not have one place in the world that a huge number of people sit at the top?
I guess the major difference is I see myself as an American Citizen and not a Global Citizen.
> A simple fact is that all 7 billion people can't live like upper middle class Americans, it's impossible. Why not have one place in the world that a huge number of people sit at the top?
Because winning the birth lottery gets you to the top, otherwise if you're from somewhere else in the world...good luck.
Of course 7 billion people can't live like upper middle class americans. Upper middle class americans are going to have to bring their lifestyle down to a sustainable level.
We have a myriad of problems at this moment in time, some of them existential. I have very little sympathy for people who think we should maintain the status quo in the face of these problems.
Wish in one hand, shit in the other, see which one fills up first.
I don't see that class giving up lifestyle changes to prop up the third world and if you try to take it, in the south, they are armed. Which is the reason our 2nd Amendment exists.
I'm not sure there are good alternatives in the US. If you want a decent job, a family, and to live somewhere that that is progressive and not boring, then you pretty much have to make upper middle class money.
The United States of America has a population over 300 million, we did not agree to take part in the international agreement. Obama knew that the American people would not support the agreement which is why he did it with the stroke of a pen rather than through congress.
Aha you think the American people has the facts and experience enough to be able to make good judgements in foreign policy and even that YOU actually now what their voice is and can represent them completely?
What you now is the same as everyone else what’s being sold in the media (even social media). There are lots of hacks like Thomas Friedman being given lots of page space in papers such as NYT to even spread propaganda for powerful interests. In aggregation these hacks represents alignments of powers which even a president cannot surmount in the long term. Obama of course understood this but didn’t give up on what he thought was right, and now Trump does not care about was is right instead he simply surf the waves of narratives spewed by the conservative/alt-right to both winning the presidency and keeping his hold on power and enrich himself in the process, while he claims he’s being backstabbed by the deep state. But it’s clear his bet on the wrong horse is becoming a hazard as more Republicans in Senate are realizing this and changing course to avoid the risk of complete collapse of their party and American morals.
I guess another Vietnam has to happen so that the American people will again learn the real news, but given the assymetry in military power and outsourcing of it to allies like SA I’m not sure if they will learn this time.
The root cause are greedy loan providers that know payment back is a sure bet. My 50,000 foot view of the problem is that it is far to easy to obtain a huge sum of money to go to school for a career with no job prospects. My solution would be to factor in degree and ability to repay, making loans much harder to get. Also, I would revoke many degree paths from the ability to get approved federal loans.
This falls right in line with my thinking. I've listened to so many NPR stories about students suddenly realizing right at graduation that, "oh, holy shit, I have to pay $900/month loan payment!"
I'm on the right and the sad news that you must digest is there isn't enough resources for all 7 billion people. That is a fact that will only get worse as we continue to add more. Most will suffer and there really isn't anything a leftist government can do about that other than bring everyone down to the same level of suffering.
> I'm on the right and the sad news that you must digest is there isn't enough resources for all 7 billion people.
Well this is simply not true.
I'm no fan of ballooning populations myself because I'm kind of a misanthrope but resource quanity is not the problem. There is more than enough to feed, clothe and house up to 15 billion people, just not at the same standard as the resource-guzzling United States.
The problem is logistics and political will. That's what we don't have to provide for 10+ billion people.
"there really isn't anything a leftist government can do about that other than bring everyone down to the same level of suffering"
So be it. It seems more fair to me than some ad hoc chauvinism.
In any case, I don't think the suffering is really required. What is, in your opinion, the lifestyle that is possible to be supported by resources we have for 7 billion people?
If more students approached school like a business investment, where the goal is to cut costs as much as one possibly could. You would then see more people go to community college for general hours and then transfer to a public state school and finish their bachelors degree.

if you want to get educated, read a book or take some initiative and learn something for yourself: join a book club or take continuing education classes.
The purpose of a degree is just to make it easier for highering managers and HR to sort through the thousands of applicants. For the person getting a degree, the purpose is to get a good job and earn more money, so yes, it should be evaluated just like a business decision.
*chan land is chaotic neutral and always has been. Authoritarians just can't handle chaotic. A projection of a high dimensional vector (politics) onto a line (left - right) is always going to be a goof.
It's a garbage religion and has no place in America.
