psychopy has already started adopting functionality direct from the PsychoPhysics Toolbox [PTB] with the help of PTB maintainer Mario Kleiner. No point reinventing (and exhaustively testing) the wheel.
MATLAB is going to have a long slow death as open source methods demanded by open science displace it. However the PTB will live on in Octave, and now psychopy.
Dan's been trying to get the rights to do a dramatic reading for at least a few parts of it. (Ars said no to him reading the whole thing, understandably.)
Tried the Momentus XT. It was good... But they have been on 500/4 for a year now. Also have an optibay enroute for the MacBook.
For my desktop I have gone for the Highpoint Rocketraid 1220. it's a two port SATA III <£50. Add a HDD of your choice and an SSD and you have your own hybrid logical disk. I am testing with a 500gb caviar black and an old OCZ Vertex 30gb.... Arrives today!
No easy way to migrate out for one of my Professors who has 16 no 17 years of meticulously foldered emails. if he hand't foldered them it would be a point and click...
I ended up installing a virtual box XP install just for Pegasus on his new 27" iMac!
Doesn't PMail have export functions? I might have lost some part of the information doing it, though (could be because I had to pipe through Outlook Express, and Outlook Express was to blame - I can't remember).
Or if PMail does IMAP, copy all folders to an IMAP account?
