Medical use of any drug is not "lame" when it's helping someone. I think the phrase you're looking for is "getting inebriated at work for fun is lame".

It's "lame" if it makes you feel like garbage at work. Responsibility is annoying when you're stoned, and it doesn't get less annoying if the pot cures your epilepsy.

What about getting jittery from too much coffee or sleepy from antihistamines? You can apply the same logic, doesn't stop people from overcoming it

Gotta love that absurd capitalist reasoning (which still exits to this day) against banning importing bird feathers.

"Well they're going to die anyway so might as well be us killing them, and please don't take away our money printer"

What a poor article. Lays out the idea that it could be good for you.

Lacks any substantive ideas, other than stop doing things that your brain likes. Okay.

And no references to any research

Indeed mine have anti-snake protection capabilities that also cover items such as nailfiles, pens, and plastic toy springs

My cat's anti-snake protection manifests as an extreme hatred of earphone wires

Lucky for your cat, headphones no longer need wires. In fact, I think Apple should include that in their marketing. "Not only have we reduced our packaging, we've also stop scaring your cats!"

Now your dog can eat the whole thing in one go!

I named one of my cats Cordie because she liked to attack the (very antique) N64 controller cords.

Looks great! Love that I can kick the tires without having to signup. Will try it out soon for a project

What I've learned is that sometimes I do wanna spend a bunch of time and tinker so I will take the hard route.

Sometimes I don't want that headache and do the calculus of time & effort and spend the extra $ to get a speaker set that works with my phone :)

This is exactly how i run my project.

Amazing that folks get into these "two sides" debate. The reality is always a grey area. And you should be flexible enough to see the benefits of the different variations. With some guidelines on how to make a decision.

Yeah i feel like a new UX idea isn't fully appreciated till many years later when they're widely accepted

Agreed, Miyoko's is the closest to a real soft cheese. Makes sense as they age them to get those fermentation flavors

Well eating at home can also have failures. Few months ago I accidentally ate some hot sauce that should have been refrigerated but was stored on a room temp. shelf.

Looked fine when i ate it but was violently sick for 3 days and thought i had covid :(
