AFAIK, M Disc really only matters for DVDs due to their organic materials. (Non-LTH) BDs on the other hand have inorganic materials and last pretty well.
I think there was a French study that compared DVDs, M Discs and BDs and the HTL BDs fared very well. Can't find the document though.
Yeah our county covid stats are the same. Static pages would work great here, instead of having to hit the API and DB for the data, since the data is updated once a day.
I find the minimalism to become frustrating, when it involves burying things that were so easily accessed before. In windows you used to be able to right click the desktop to get to display settings.
I agree. I don't use apple products but my partner does, but whenever I use one of his products he has to keep explaining these arcane rituals of triple clicking, pressing and holding on unexpected icons, navigating through menus with a limited number of buttons, etc.
It's all well and good trying to hide the complexity, but not if you can't find the features unless you've already got someone who knows the product talking you through it.
What version of windows are you on? I just opened my pc to check and sure enough, display settings is still in my desktop menu. But I do get what you mean, that's one of the reasons my windows usage at this point is basically only for video games. And even that won't be true when I build a new rig with AMD CPU & GPU.
It's amazing that they allow for streets to be built so narrow in new neighborhoods, that only one car can get through if there is on parked on the side. Lot's of complaints about people parking on the street in a neighborhood that still being built out. They also have one way streets that are hard to get through of anyone is parked on the street.
Yeah, I expect my browser to go backwards when I click back to another site, not be directed to another page on that domain. Also Pinterest hijacks the share function finch of Chrome on Android and will share a link to a main page of sorts.
I looked into doing something like in the early 2000s, bit found that my idea would take more power I was comfortable to be able to provide in such spaces.
