The "Don't dump huge things just before a release and hope they'll get merged without a round or two of revisions" is fair enough. No doubt the code, suitably improved, will be in the next release. No big deal.

Linus is Linus and sometimes it would be nice if we wasn't quite so much Linus.


Meh, rejections happen all the time. Not sure why Phoronix singled out this one. On the other hand the bcachefs drama is reaching a high point...
