Hi Indie Hackers
We’re building Kinkora, a creative platform that brings multiple image and video AI models into one place for experimentation and creation.
Like many builders, we found ourselves constantly switching tools just to test different models or creative directions. Each platform felt limited to a single workflow or use case. So we decided to build a space that’s more modular, exploratory, and creator-first.
Kinkora focuses on:
Supporting popular generative models
Making experimentation fast and enjoyable
Laying the foundation for a creative community, not just a generator
Our long-term goal isn’t just “generate content”, but to create a place where creators can play, iterate, and discover new ideas as models and techniques evolve.
We’re early, actively iterating, and would love feedback from fellow indie builders on:
Feature direction
Community mechanics
Creator-friendly workflows
Happy to answer any questions
Registration/login required before you can create videos, ok, I can deal with that. But the toast message at the top right of the screen asking me to log in ("Video generation failed, authentication required") obscures the Login and Sign Up buttons on the top nav. Suggestion: in the box where the video would go, where it says "Generation Failed / Authentication Required / X Dismiss", replace the Dismiss button with Login / Sign Up buttons, and remove the toast (or make not obscure the Login / Sign Up buttons).
Once I register and authenticate, my original prompt and settings are lost. Oops, those should be retained, so when I return they are still there.
"Space" is a weird name for the page that has my videos. It's also right in the middle of a bunch of other items that are not specific to me. I suggest you rename it "My Videos" (or similar) and/or have it under the avatar dropdown.
How do I create more videos? The only way to get to the video creation page seems to be by going to the Home page, then clicking the "Try Now - Free Demo" button.
"Random seed for reproducible results" seems wrong. Wouldn't you want a fixed seed for reproducible results? In other words, if it selects a seed at random, wouldn't the results be different every time? But if I enter, say, 42 for the seed, then the results would be the same every time? That's not really clear.
Option for 4:3 aspect ratio (or others) would be nice.
